This Amherst family dreamed of turning their backyard into a private oasis where they could relax, entertain, and create lasting memories. Their current space needed more than a simple touch-up—it required a complete transformation to become a functional, family-friendly retreat. By designing and building a space tailored to their needs, we helped them create the outdoor lifestyle they’ve always wanted.
OBSTACLES
Transforming this backyard presented several challenges that required our team’s expertise.
Uneven ground and debris needed to be addressed to create a stable foundation for the structural elements. Limited space called for creative design to ensure the area felt functional and inviting. Proper grading and drainage were critical to avoid water issues, especially with the extensive construction of hard surface features. Privacy considerations guided the layout to create a secluded oasis that seamlessly integrated with the surroundings. Lastly, custom features like the fire pit and outdoor kitchen demanded precise craftsmanship, ensuring the space was both beautiful and durable.

The patio’s clean layout provides ample room for entertaining, with a durable surface that seamlessly connects different activity zones. The outdoor kitchen is equipped with high-quality appliances, making meal preparation convenient and allowing the family to spend more time enjoying the outdoors together. The natural stone fire pit, surrounded by curved seating, adds a warm and cozy focal point for evening conversations and making memories…and s’mores.
